WIVA P&G HyWest
Austria’s first regional green hydrogen economy
The R&D flagship project WIVA P&G HyWest serves as a model for the development of a largely autonomous regional green hydrogen economy in western Austria and is funded by the Klima- und Energiefonds in the framework of the Energy Model Region program. The main focus of the 23 Mio. Euro project is the investigation of cross-sectoral production and storage as well as the application of green hydrogen and the further establishment of a green hydrogen economy in Central Europe.

The WIVA P&G HyWest project is funded by the Klima- und Energiefonds and is carried out within the Energy Model Region program. All stakeholders are organized in a consortium consisting of the strategy and project development company FEN Sustain Systems GmbH, the project operators MPREIS Warenvertriebs GmbH, Zillertaler Verkehrsbetriebe AG, TIWAG-Tiroler Wasserkraft AG and TIGAS-Erdgas Tirol GmbH and the Austrian Hydrogen Research Network, FEN Research GmbH, HyCentA Research GmbH, the Energy Institute at the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the WIVA P&G association.
